The Gifto Locks Heritage & Jainson Trading Co.

From the pioneering invention of fixed pant hooks in 1976 to premier lock and architectural hardware manufacturing in Aligarh, India.

Our Origin Story

Inventing The "Fixed Pant Hook" & Expanding to Security Hardware

Shri Gyan Chand Jain started the firm “JAINSON TRADING CO.” with the manufacturing of garment buckles and pant hooks in the year 1976. At that time, pant hooks had to be manually stitched onto fabrics with threads and needles.

Through ingenious metalworking insight, Shri Gyan Chand Jain designed the very first fixed pant hooks in India that could be fastened seamlessly without threads or needles, launching them under the brand name “GIFTO”. The GIFTO brand quickly touched a nationwide milestone in garment accessories.

Building on this mechanical engineering success and deep expertise in metallurgy and precision press tools, the company entered the locks manufacturing sector in Aligarh—the lock capital of India.
